The rod is finished in black and white variegated thread, tipped red. The guides are bright as are the ferrules. The female ferrules have rolled welts; they function admirably. The grip is a 5-3/4” full Wells, clean and slightly ridged. There is a fancy black/white/red signature wrap and a strap and ring hookkeeper. The downlocking reel seat is silver with a fancy wood spacer. The rod was previously refinished, as shown by the darkened varnish around “Bristol F-12.” A sturdy rod for a 5 or 6 weight line with no defects or issues. Original (probably) bag and tube. $ 650.00.
