Orvis 8’ varnished rod, 3 piece 2 tip. 10/64” and 16/64” ferrules. 4.2 oz.; 5-3/4” reverse half Wells (slightly flared) grip, clean but slightly ridged. Full nickel silver downlocking cap and ring reel seat, marked Orvis/Manchester Vt. The rod has been refinished. Wraps are light brown silk tipped yellow, and the guides are bright. There is a tiny guide for a hookkeeper. Ferrules are blued. Serial number is 0437, marked on the butt, mid, and one tip (the other tip is a replacement). “Orvis Standard” is inscribed in black ink. A very nice rod, medium action, flexing deep, for a 5 line. Maybe it could cast a 4-weight. Replacement bag and tube. $ 700.00.
